C-Wrap Tray and Punnet Labelling

An example of our C-wrap label application system, configured in a vertical format normally used to label trays and punnets, as well as cartons as shown.

The subtle difference between our C-wrap solution and most others is that rather than pre-dispensing almost the complete label, and then dragging the label off the peeler bar, our solution pre-dispenses only the length of label needed to allow the peeler to not restrict the product, and then fires the remainder of the label on to the product as it is detected by photocell.

We call this "label flag" and it means we have both more control over the label (i.e. less static issues) and can also achieve a tighter C-wrap label result - for example pulling the label in to a lip on a cookie tray etc.

Application Overview

Common tray and punnet labelling solutions include "C-wrap" labelling meat packs, bakery products or cartons, as well as basic top, bottom or combined top and bottom labelling solutions.

Where tray products are stretch film wrapped or flow wrapped, particularly punnets of fresh produce for example, we can supply special peeler bar application systems to adapt the label around the uneven shape of the product.
