Originally designed and commissioned for snack foods manufacturer, Real Crisps based near Newport in South Wales our unique Corrugated Cardboard Box Feed & Labelling System provides the perfect answer to anyone hand labelling vast quantities of boxes or who has received complaints due to “wonky” labels on boxes, as well as giving the option of purchasing and labelling blank boxes instead of holding multiple stocks of pre printed cartons
The system is fully adjustable for a range of box sizes tailored to the customers range and can be swapped between sizes quickly and easily in under a couple of minutes and is supplied as standard with two adjustable trolleys to wheel in and out labelled boxes from the system to the work floor.
The unit can be configured to apply (or print & apply) up to four labels per box with a single head, with the option to also apply labels to the bottom of the box in the same pass - e.g. to give a four side “corner-wrap” opposite corner labelling solution as so often required by supermarkets.
Key features of the solution are that it can feed up to a 1000mm high vertical stack of boxes (approx 200 corrugated boxes)- and can then be continuously reloaded without stopping the machine (giving huge labour savings over hand labelling) It also provides highly accurate, consistent labelling - a must with supermarkets with automated DC’s.
By installing the machine Real Crisps freed up more than four members of production floor staff, reporting the machine can label in less than 2 minutes the same volume of boxes it took them to label manually in 30-40mins - with the added benefit that the label are applied accurately! “The machine has really paid for itself and the staff love it!” commented Real Crisps Production Manager.
