ALTECH will be taking part at PHARMINTECH in Bologna (Stand D42-E41 Hall 36), where it will highlight a representative, interesting host of its systems for material labelling, identification and traceability.

A particularly performing version of the ALritma labelling head, equipped with a touch screen control panel, will be mounted on a simulator in order to show its great accuracy at linear speeds ranging between 0 and 80 m/min and a cruising rate which can reach 800 labels/min.

The ALline in-line labelling systems will also be on display, featuring a new, modular and more ergonomic design. The two following configurations will be shown:

• the ALlineC, which can apply labels to cylindrical vials in full compliance with the pharmaceutical industry’s rules and regulations. It is equipped with a TT overprinting unit and a checking device for performed labelling and overprinting with automatic ejection of non compliant products. Its cruising rate can reach 200 pieces/min.
• the ALlineB, capable of applying labels with bar codes on pharmaceutical cases. The system incorporates a variety of control devices and automatisms to communicate with the other units of a packaging line.

As to product identification and traceability, ALTECH will present a few ALcode units featuring different configurations, making it possible to apply labels on different sides of carton boxes, as well as an ALcodeP system capable of applying A5-size labels on two consecutive sides of a pallet at a speed exceeding 120 pal./h.

“Impressive, isnt’ it? Here’s the new version of our ALstep”. That is how Piero Salvini, president of ALTECH, presented the most economical model of their labelling range at a recent meeting with the sales staff. He then went on to speak about the unit upgrades, which enhance the mechanical and electronic features of this great little jewel.

To begin with, the electronic control box is equipped with an upgraded main board, whose main innovation is the possibility to change the working programme - standard, encoder, piston, etc. -directly from the menu, rather than using interchangeable chips.

Moreover, this model offers new, useful functions, among which the management of a long labelling delay (in mm), so that the photocell no longer has to be positioned near the plate. The same “delay” function will automatically manage the shift-register, which means that the labelling head will detect multiple products, even before labelling the first one.The single cycle can be started from any point of the menu.

Furthermore, the new ALstep has a 6-digit display (instead of the previous 4), thus providing a user-friendlier menu thanks to its intuitive icons.

The new model also includes a few restyled mechanical parts, which make it even sturdier and more performing. In particular, it features the peeling bars characterising its elder sister, the ALritma, as well as aluminium unwind plates on all versions.
