ALTech UK have designed and installed a high volume sachet labelling solution for Montagne Jeunesse, a major manufacturer of beauty products such as face masks and scrubs. The machine has been installed for over 12 months and currently labels more than 750,000 sachets per month. The system has proved to be robust, accurate and reliable, requiring only the renewal of a worn print head after labelling over 9 million products. It has provided huge labour savings and improved the quality of label printing and placement consistency throughout their sachet product range.
The solution is based on an ALcode TS tamp-blow applicator and incorporates a 600dpi SATO S84EX print engine for a high quality print output. It also includes a base labeller for branding overprint on specific products and uses a bespoke ALTech pick and place system to feed sachets from and to stacks of 12. The machine is used by the customer to over-label their products for foreign markets, such as Russia and the UAE, providing a complete solution for all of Montagne Jeunesse’s labelling requirements.
