An inline laser barcode check scanner solution is a standard option on all of our labelling systems.
They can be used to confirm that the barcode is readable, has been applied correctly, or matches another code (i.e. to verify the correct top & bottom label via a 2d code on each label)and linked to automated rejection or stop systems where required.
We also offer standalone barcode /correct coder verification solutions as detailed below.
ALcheck is a standalone inline barcode verification solution designed to provide an economical preventative solution to costly packaging errors.
It can be retrofitted to almost any type of production machinery, with the primary function to check a barcode as readable, but often more importantly, that it is the CORRECT barcode (e.g. the correct pre-printed outer carton for a ready meal etc). It can also be used to check for label skew, or with multiple scan heads to compare codes match for example.
ALcheck is extremely simple to use, making it ideal for the production floor. Operators merely scan the barcode of the product they want to match with a hand scanner, and then this will automatically set one or multiple inline laser scanner to accept only this code symbology and barcode number.
As standard ALcheck provides a single generic error condition to a host machine in the event of NO READ or WRONG CODE but can also be supplied with independent outputs for each error type - i.e. you may only wish to log no reads, but stop the line immediately on wrong code. ALcheck can even be programmed to stop the line after a definable number of no reads within a specific period.
Systems are customer configured to customers exact requirements, and can be set to verify code against a pre-set quality standard from 0-5 (equivalent to ANSI) and be supplied with colour alarm beacons and/or automatic product rejection systems.
ALcheck can also be provided with 2d code reading solutions, with 2d hand scanner and vision based inline scanner.
