ALbelt C Entry Level Wraparound Labelling System

ALbelt C labelling systems combine a horizontally mounted ALstep labelling head (in 100mm 'S' or 200mm 'M' format) with an open base 'ALbelt' belt conveyor system and side drive direct-wraparound application unit. This device rotates the product on its base as it continues to travel forwards, with the label pinched between the product and a rubbered counter plate, adapting it on its surface, matching the speed of label feed to the rotation of the product.

This highly flexible and established application concept for non-tapered (or very slightly tapered) cylindrical products is both fast and efficient, with typical label application speeds of between 40-50 products per minute, depending on the products size, label length and frequency of loading.

Machines are designed to the sample product range presented by the customer, using proven modular components and able to accommodate a wide variety of different products, including products with label recess areas, lips or caps where specified. Labels can be applied in either a partial or full wraparound format (depending on the relative length of the label to the product diameter) in no particular rotational registration to any existing feature.

Typically, machines are hand fed, but can also be used inline in low to medium speed operations, with various automatic spacing modules available where a regular minimum product pitch cannot be guaranteed. Solutions include a simple spacing wheel, single or dual side-belts - which can also aid the transfer of smaller products on to the conveyor.

Possibility of side labelling of flat-sided products:

ALbelt C incorporates the same direct wraparound, on peeler application system as our high-performance ALline machine series. Where this device is specified with an extraction slide, it usually is possible to also use the machine as a standard side labeller with flat, (not elliptical) products such as small cartons or boxes. (as long as they are stable with sufficient weight and fit on the conveyor)

Coding solutions:

ALbelt C can be supplied with the full range of coding solutions available with all our labelling heads. These include thermal inject (TIJ), intermittent thermal (from Markem or ICE), hotfoil (see: Coding Systems), or a full inline print engine for full label printing (see: ALstep T)

Stainless option:

By default, ALbelt C includes a high-quality powder-coated RAL 9006 base. This base can be upgraded for a small supplement to stainless 304, which is complemented by the already included ALstep fanless anodised aluminium control box.

Additional top labelling heads (for top labels or tamper labels):

The solid base of ALbelt C means it is also possible to configure the machine with a secondary top labelling head; e.g. to apply a lid label in the same pass, and even to add a simple adaption system for tamper seal labels for example.
