September’s machine of the month is an ALline E, labelling the front and rear face of an oval shaped bottle (mouthwash) for a large toiletries company, applying labels to 100 products p/min.
The machine has two side belts fitted for spacing the products, a chain stabilisation system for alignment and then a top belt conveyor to steady the product and keep it at a consistent position on the conveyor as it passes through the labelling heads.
The machine is fitted with two ALritma X labelling heads that offer high performance and precision label application. The machine also prints the rear label with variable data.
The system is also fitted with three smart cameras that check for the presence of a label and also check the printing on the label; if the cameras do not read for label or printing the product is automatically rejected off the line.
The whole process is controlled by a central plc (programmable logic controller) management system, with visual HMI, keeping all modules of the machine in perfect synchronisation and allowing quick and easy product changeovers.
