Tamp\/Tamp-Blow\/Air-Blow application methods \ud83c\udf2c\ufe0f are commonly used with print and apply machines because they allow the label to be printed in a different rotation to its application, e.g. printed Portrait, applied Landscape.<\/p>\n

These solutions all have their place, but often, they are selected through necessity – being the only option available to the competitor – and are not ideally suited to the application if there is a need for contact application while the product continues to move.<\/p>\n

In this flat sack application, we demonstrate a special swinging plate solution where the label is accepted at 90 degrees to the application orientation from the advanced Sato print engine with our ALcode print and apply machine. <\/p>\n

In this way, the barcode can be printed optimally, “with the pin,” which provides a fixed relational distance between the bars for ANSI verification while providing the benefit of a positive ‘contact’ application where an air-blow or tamp machine would likely have long-term issues in such an arduous environment.<\/p>\n
