With ever-increasing autonomy in supply chain management and automated warehouses, the relevance of our proven and continually evolving Document Print and Insertion System\ud83d\udda8\ufe0f\ud83d\udcc3\u2013 for pick notes, manifests, invoices, etc. \u2014is becoming increasingly prominent, with solid demand for the product.<\/p>\n
In this recent installation, which was part of an enhancement\/extension project of our customer’s mixed-case fulfilment warehouse, our leading system integrator partner designed their conveyors so that a redundancy machine, with special logic in our control systems, could tell if a document had already been produced and provide a spare machine in the event of media replenishment or breakdown, avoiding any line downtime.<\/p>\n
Our customer uses both cartons and totes. In the case of cartons, our printer\/dropper systems are placed before the customer’s highly advanced carton reduction machines, which allow them to create optimal-sized boxes for the items being shipped, reducing both cost and environmental impact. <\/p>\n
Equally, our dropper systems, through their use of continuous paper media, have the possibility to dynamically size the document (A4 or A5) to the amount of information to be printed (depending on the customer file format).<\/p>\n
Our document print and insert solution is a turnkey solution that manages all functions of the process, including carton or tote scanning, data processing, and low-level line signalling. In most cases, all that is required from the customer is a data feed and conveyor flow control, meaning that it is equally easy to add our document printing solution to new and existing logistics warehouse operations.<\/p>\n
