MHI is\u00a0one of Europe\u2019s leading international postal services based in Bristol came to ALTech with an urgent requirement to meet a large job they had just had commissioned.<\/p>\n<p>MHI provides its customers with a price comparison approach to direct mail fulfilment thorough a huge range of global providers. The net result of this is that vast quantities of direct mail pieces, which may already have been indicia printed with a particular mail transporters indicia (e.g. \u201cRoyal Mail\u201d ), require rapid over labelling with a new indicia of the provider offering the most competitive delivery service on that day.<\/p>\n<p>ALTech&#8217;s solution was designed and manufactured by their UK engineering team and supplied to MHI as a special build in less than 6 weeks (standard lead time 10-12 weeks). It is a fully integrated ALfeed feed and labelling system for a full range of mail products from post cards to C4 envelopes incorporating a vacuum conveyor system, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.altech-uk.com\/labellers-print-and-apply\/alritma-t-print-apply.htm\">ALritma T<\/a><\/strong> Batch print and apply labelling head and intelligent shingle outfeed collection conveyor.<\/p>\n<p>The machine is quick and simple to set up and capable of a feed and labelling speed (even with print) of more than 15,000 mail units per hour, applying labels with millimetre accuracy over any existing printed indicia. The solution also includes a special pneumatic peeler bar system which can be enabled to allow labelling of uneven packages and pouches.<\/p>\n<p>MHI\u2019s CEO commented \u201cinvestment in ALTech\u2019s mail labelling machine has certainly contributed to our recent growth in business whilst our industry as a whole has declined.
