This video shows a high-quality ALline pail labelling system in final testing at our main factory, configured for an interesting one-to-one print-and-apply pail labelling application.
Using an ALcode print and apply labelling head with a vacuum belt application system, each label can be printed individually before being applied with consistent control.
The machine also features a full interlocked guarding cabinet system, providing controlled access around the automated handling and labelling process.
Before labelling, the system manages the pail handle, using an in-feed mechanism to find and lift the handle clear of the application area.
At the labelling station, the pail is controlled within the three-roller labelling module, where it is orientated to detect the seam before label application.
This allows each label to be applied in precise and repeatable registration to the seam, without relying on a manual process.
The tapered pail format adds further complexity.
To achieve a consistent label finish on a tapered container, the three-roller pail labelling system includes micro–inclination adjustment, as does the labelling head itself. These inclination positions can then be digitally recalled using a digital gyro reference, helping to ensure repeatable set-up and changeover. 📐
