Toshiba B–EX and B–SX Printer Series – End of an Era, But Not of Innovation
Toshiba has announced the end of new sales for its popular B-EX4 printer series from 31 March 2026 — a range long admired for its durability and clever Ribbon-Save technology, dramatically reducing ribbon waste and running costs.
Importantly, sales and service support will continue for up to seven years beyond the final production date — reassuring news for users who still depend on these trusted desktop industrial printers.
Meanwhile, spare-part support for the older B-SX4/5 models has now officially ended, after an impressive 12-year run of post-production supply.
The good news? Toshiba’s next-generation BX400 Series is here — faster, smarter and fully plug-and-print compatible, offering seamless continuity for existing users.

We regularly integrate Toshiba printers within our label applicator systems, from desktop to fully automatic machines — whether for inline product coding, full label printing, or flexible desktop and case-labelling applications.
One of our original “gingerbread machines” using a Toshiba printer has been “run, run, running” for over 20 years — and it’s still going strong!
So while printer models evolve, great engineering partnerships endure.
