In a few days’ time, this space will look very different.
The warehouse will be full of stock, and this ALline system will be doing exactly what it was designed to do: processing tens, and potentially hundreds, of thousands of products while applying promotional and barcode labels accurately and consistently.
Built around our market-leading ALline turnkey linear labelling machine series, this system has been designed for a fast-moving 3PL, logistics and value-added contract packing environment — where stock rework, promotional labelling, barcode labelling, relabelling and product identification all need to be completed quickly, reliably and repeatably.
The machine features motorised precision movement systems — now commonplace for us — with exact positioning stored as part of the machine recipe. This allows the customer to recall settings for each product type automatically, without needing to manually move mechanical components.
It also includes an inline thermal transfer @SATO Europe print engine, allowing barcode labels to be produced on demand, exactly when they are needed.
To make the system work efficiently in the real world, the layout includes a 90-degree turn conveyor for improved operator ergonomics, a low-vibration belt for smooth product handling, and an output collection table for practical product accumulation.
For the customer, the productivity gains should be significant. The system replaces both the need to pre-print labels and a highly labour-intensive manual labelling process — helping turn manual rework and contract labelling into a faster, more consistent, recipe-controlled operation.
