ALcode with ‘air-blast’ applicator is an ideal print and apply solution for bakery products, as demonstrated in this recent video.
Like all ALcode machines, the solution offers the ability to change the label data at the touch of a button (e.g. for short batch runs), combined with a non-contact application compatible with the delicate nature of the product, including on uneven surface finishes.
Where equipped with our optional 90-degree rotation bracket (as shown), it also provides the possibility to pivot between portrait and landscape label applications, allowing optimal label positioning depending on its relative size and shape to the product – potentially removing the need for a second label stock and changeover.
This most recent machine was supplied to a long established bakery in the South West of the UK and included an integrated conveyor. This provides the possibility to run the machine as a standalone system or in line with their flow wrapper.
Label data was provided directly to the SATO Europe print engine from the customers ‘LabelLogic Live‘ cloud-based labelling software from Planglow, which helps the customer manage all allergen and nutritional label data requirements, plus normal label design functions such as barcodes and simple graphics.
The customer uses a branded pre-printed label and overprints the variable product information to minimise their label stock holding.
