October’s machine of the month is a four head ALline labelling system produced for a large chemical company, able to apply 4 separate labels on the 4 flat faces of rectangular chemical jerry cans and drums at approximately 15 products p/min.
An extremely heavy duty machine, containers are labelled in a single product pass via two pairs of adjacently placed ALritma L (300mm) high precision labelling heads, with full stainless slat band conveyor and simple restriction rotation device, turning the container through 90 degrees between the pairs of labelling heads.
The machine manages containers from 5ltrs to 20 ltrs, with quick and easy recall of setting via touch screen between these products. A particularly innovative but simple design element of the solution, required due to the large difference in product size, is the label peeler blade arm design, supported from above so as to allow the peeler to be moved over the belt, but still label on the bottom of the product without fouling the conveyor.
