March’s machine of the month is an ALline linear labelling system built for a producer of fruit juices. The customer required a system to apply front and back product labels to their juice bottles at 170 bpm. The machine was to be placed on their new filling line, with the priority to maximise performance and minimise downtime, optimising productivity.
The machine was based on an ALline E front and back labelling system in a non-stop configuration with two labelling heads on either side. The shape of the bottles (squared with rounded corners) required the integration of a specific design twin timing screw device (protected via light array), which was able to both gap and align the product at high speed in a unique phase.
The machine was also equipped with high-speed, precision ALritma X labelling heads and central management control unit with non-stop control functioning, allowing the operator to make roll changes on the redundant head without interrupting production.
